“I like what I like when the mood strikes.”

I have always enjoyed sewing. Making clothes for my teddy bears and Barbie dolls, stitching together bags and pillows. I loved watching my mom make me dresses, rompers, and shorts, blankets, and toys when I was a child, to watching Project Runway when I was in high school.

I’ve never had a clearly defined aesthetic or style. I like what I like when the mood strikes. My home exemplifies this: from a mid-century sputnik chandelier in my living next to a mounted buck, to the woven grass wind chimes next to the 1940’s alligator purse, to a superman cookie jar next to a green and blue lava lamp, to a snoopy mailbox keeping company with plastic pink flamingos in the yard.

Sewing gives me the outlet I need to mix styles and techniques to create something one of a kind. I love making bags, and children’s clothing, blankets, and home decor. I enjoy the challenges of learning new processes and custom orders really allow me to try new things.

My current challenge: how to create custom embroidery files.
